Troy began with Precision Construction as a Union Carpenter and worked his way up to being a Project Manager. In 2004, he became the firm’s Executive Officer and President.
He takes an active role during each phase of construction and on every project he helps define and refine the scope, strategy, schedule and budget. Troy stresses continued emphasis on safety and quality control to ensure team members understand their commitments.
Mike brings to the table nearly 20 yrs of construction and management experience. He has worked in all phases of construction both on the jobsite and in administration, and understands the valued impact of strong leadership on every project. As a manager overseeing complicated projects, particularly our design-build work, Mike has a track record of directing projects to final completion while keeping tight reins on construction costs.
Lukas has broad construction and management experience and has worked in nearly all phases of construction. After earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering, Lukas began his career at an engineering consulting firm in Washington D.C. He later moved back in Portland to work as a Project Manager and Building Science Consultant at a construction defect litigation and construction consulting firm.
During his career he gained extensive experience working as an Engineer in Training under licensed engineers and also became an expert in building science: roofs (flat and sloped), site drainage, building facades and cladding systems, windows, balconies, pavement, leak evaluation, above and below grade waterproofing, etc. His management roles have required him to provide project management services throughout all phases of construction; from investigation/pre-construction to design to bidding through construction. This broad background has given Lukas a unique perspective for his role now as a Project Manager for a general contractor; this has led to excellent outcomes on complex projects.
PM and Safety Director
Austin has experience working in many facets of construction trades. He started his career working for Hoffman Mechanical Company at the Intel D1D project in 2002. In 2006 he became a carpenter apprentice working for local interior contractors specializing in acoustical ceilings, steel stud framing, drywall installation and door and hardware installation. In 2010 Austin went to work for a local flooring installation company where he oversaw their concrete grinding and polishing division. He invested much time and effort mastering the trade which allowed for some of his work to be featured in architectural magazines and the Oregonian newspaper.
As our Safety Director, Austin is responsible for scheduling and conducting all of our safety meetings. He also manages our Safety Programs on the jobsite, which include orientation, safety walks, and management walks. He also ensures that everyone on the Precision team is up to date with their Safety Certifications. Austin takes the lead in communication, schedule control and trade coordination. During construction his leadership and active participation keeps all team members focused on priorities most critical for success. Safety is of upmost importance on all of his projects.
Jonathan began his construction career as a commercial carpenter in Philadelphia where his work focused on student housing, religious facilities, and multi-story office buildings. From Philadelphia, Jonathan joined the Marines and finished his enlistment in California. When he returned to construction in 1997, Jonathan rejoined the field in the hospitality and multi-family end. This experience—particularly with hospitality projects—has given Jonathan the insight to build durable, low-maintenance projects that are delivered on time and at budget. Through his constant efforts to deliver exceptional quality while maintaining schedules and budgets, Jonathan quickly advanced to superintendent and then to project manager.
As a field superintendent, Jonathan is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all subcontractors. He plays a pivotal role in addressing the issues often encountered on a complex projects. Working with the designers and architects through effective communication, he expedites solutions to challenges in the field during construction.
Loyce has worked in the field as an office manager for Hoffman Construction and Precision for 23 years. She has been a mentor to many of our office managers, and is currently involved in implementing and coordinating office manager procedures and best practices. Loyce has managed many projects on her own and with the assistance of support staff. She has excellent communication skills and maintains a professional and positive relationship with both owners and subcontractors.
Ryan began his construction career as residential carpenter for housing developments and apartment complexes. He then transitioned into excavation, heavy equipment and pipe laying for housing subdivisions as a heavy machine operator and laborer. From there he moved into commercial framing and was lead carpenter for six years. Ryan began at Precision Construction as carpenter and quickly moved into a supervisory role as team lead, and then became a superintendent. He has worked in all phases of construction, from drywall to electrical, and plumbing. He has an eye for quality control, making that his number one priority on his projects.
Jay has been in construction for 21 years and began his career as a carpenter, quickly moving on to managing larger and more complex projects. Since he began with Precision Construction as a Superintendent, Jay has overseen multiple projects ranging from large commercial tenant improvements to mechanical overhauls and structural upgrades. He has participated in all phases of construction and has proven his ability to keep construction goals on track even when working with sensitive budgets, aggressive schedules and complicated construction sequencing.
Dan has been in the construction industry for over 30 years. As a seasoned construction manager and superintendent, he has expertise in all phases of construction, from single and multi-family residential, commercial, restoration and renovations, environmental remediation, remodels to demolition projects. He has extensive experience remediation for water intrusion in older structures. Dan has proven his ability to keep construction goals on track even when working with sensitive budgets, aggressive schedules and complicated construction sequencing.
With 25 years as a carpenter, Casey’s experience includes concrete forming, rough framing, finish carpentry, stair building and cabinet installation. He also has been a lead carpenter and site superintendent for many small to mid-sized jobs, running his crew and coordinating with subcontractors and owners.
