Austin Herd
PM and Safety Director
Austin has experience working in many facets of construction trades. He started his career working for Hoffman Mechanical Company at the Intel D1D project in 2002. In 2006 he became a carpenter apprentice working for local interior contractors specializing in acoustical ceilings, steel stud framing, drywall installation and door and hardware installation. In 2010 Austin went to work for a local flooring installation company where he oversaw their concrete grinding and polishing division. He invested much time and effort mastering the trade which allowed for some of his work to be featured in architectural magazines and the Oregonian newspaper.
As our Safety Director, Austin is responsible for scheduling and conducting all of our safety meetings. He also manages our Safety Programs on the jobsite, which include orientation, safety walks, and management walks. He also ensures that everyone on the Precision team is up to date with their Safety Certifications. Austin takes the lead in communication, schedule control and trade coordination. During construction his leadership and active participation keeps all team members focused on priorities most critical for success. Safety is of upmost importance on all of his projects.
